Nomination, Application and Review

Nomination

  1. Nomination is handled by the coordinators for exchange at FJCU and the partner institutions
  2. The number of exchange students that can be accepted is based on individual exchange agreements as well as on keeping the number of exchange students between both institutions roughly equal
  3. Required document: FJCU Nomination Form

Eligibility
  1. You must be nominated by your home institution. FJCU does not accept applications made by individual students.
  2. You should be a current student at your home institution and not on a leave of absence during the application and exchange period.
  3. FJCU does not accept students who will be in the final semester of their program.
  4. Students from China must remain in Taiwan for the duration of the exchange program. Students may not participate in the exchange program if they cannot arrive in, and depart from, Taiwan on the dates specified by FJCU.
  5. You should select your exchange department/graduate institute related to your major at home university
  6. It is highly likely you may not be able to register in all of the courses you originally intended to take. For this reason, we recommend you do not participate in the program if you have specific course requirements. Please refer to Curriculum and Courses for details.

Review
  1. Late or incomplete application packages will not be considered.
  2. FJCU reserves the right to make the final decision on whether or not to accept a student to the Exchange Program.
  3. FJCU will immediately cancel a student's application if there is any interference or lobbying from the student, a parent, a teacher, or coordinator at their home institution. If a student’s application is cancelled, their institution may not recommend a replacement student.
  4. If a student is not accepted, FJCU does not review the student’s secondary preferences, nor do we accept the nomination of a different student from the partner institution.
